Hey Baby, What's Your Sign?

SignDon’t you sometimes wish you had a road map to life? A manifesto complete with pictures and sound that could tell you which directions to go in to get the money, the perfect mate, happiness and all the goodies you so richly deserve? 

Well, actually you do. There are signs just for you. Signs can warn you of a problem, make you pay attention, give you the proper path to get to a goal and help you discover brilliant ideas. 

Signs come from the Energy Field. That vast internet of energy that courses through all of life and our own BodyMind.

But we do need some hints on how to interpret them. And they’re not all laid out perfectly like in the movies. You know, the hero is about to be in trouble. So the music gets ominous and the tempo quickens, there is a jump cut to a cloaked figure, a close up of a gun and more jump cuts to tense faces.

The hero is oblivious, because he’s in his own movie. Just like we are in ours.

So here are a few hints to reading your signs.

  • Be loose and relaxed and open to “seeing” signs.
    Make an intention that you are going to pay attention and be on the lookout for any kind of signs that will help you in life. Do this often.

  • How to recognize a sign.
    They enter through your subconscious and then get louder, if you pay attention. They get sticky and don’t leave, like a song you can’t get out of your head. They have a sense of importance or weight.

  • Signs are subtle.
    The Energy Field doesn’t have human capabilities. It does not do email, have a voice or push you out of harms way…directly. But it works through these instruments or any communication modes.

  • Signs are everywhere.
    They are in headlines, songs on the radio, memories that suddenly pop up in your head, a conversation with a stranger, junk mail, coincidences, dreams, déjà vue, a flickering light or any odd happening that bookmarks a moment in time.

  • Get quiet and ask yourself if something is a sign and see what the answer is. If you need a solution, get quiet and ask for signs to show you an answer.

  • Is the sign positive?
    Do the lights in your mind get brighter? Does your mind expand with openings? Do you have that special feeling you get when you feel good and all is right with the world?
  • Is the sign negative or a warning sign?
    Do you have a tense or queasy feeling? Is your gut in a knot, does your mind close down, get small or dark?

  • What is the sign referring to?
    Review what is going on in your life. The subject of the sign will stick in your mind. Usually it is an immediate event where you could use guidance. But it could be about a life pattern you are replaying and need to change.

The Joys of Having a Zen Monkey

Drunk MonkeyThe mind can wander aimlessly without direction or integrity and use up its energy and time.

In other words, the mind is like a drunken monkey.

The mind thinks constantly. It can’t stop. Your thoughts control your destiny, your behavior, your safety and a good part of the workings of your body. Do you really want a drunken monkey having all that power over you?

When you are not problem solving or engaged in constructive thinking, your monkey is at the helm.

There should be leash laws for party animals operating your machinery.

There is a way to make your everyday monkey into a Zen Monkey. A Zen Monkey will work for you to keep the mind calm, bring in more creative ideas, download stress and keep the system running smoothly.

The Flow Zone is a state of being: A perfect balance between body and mind, where effortless thought and movement come together. You are in the zone, the flow, the Energy Field.

Health Tip: How to Get Out of Your Mind and Into the Flow Zone

  1. Health Tip: How to Get Out of Your Mind and Into the Flow ZoneWhen we speak of energy in Western medicine it is about physiology converting glucose into molecules used for cell energy.

  2. In Eastern thinking, energy or Chi is more about invisible energy spots and tapping into that energy with mental focus.

  3. You get Chi from food, water, air, sun, earth energy and the Energy Field. The Chi is stored in a main energy spot in your body called the Dan Tien.

  4. The Dan Tien is about one inch below your navel, about an inch in diameter and an inch deep in the body. It is a perfect center balance spot between the top of your head and the bottom of your feet.

  5. Normally, we keep our energy or focus in our head area, where all the mind activity is. We focus there because we use our mind so much. We live in our mind. This takes us out of the Flow Zone.

  6. When you are truly in the zone, you are in your body center instead of your mind. Living from the body center puts us in the zone.

  7. Simply bring all your energy into your Dan Tien. Just focus your energy and mind one inch below your navel and one inch deep as you go through your day. You will think more clearly and be more balanced in your body.

  8. You need to train yourself to live from that spot. Tune in from time to time and train your energy to stay in that spot.

  9. If this is too much effort, you can use your Dan Tien to help you out temporarily. Tap into the Dan Tien when you are stressed, unfocused and need to concentrate. You can also use it to calm you emotionally.

  10. Here is an exercise. Practice going from your mind to your Dan Tien and see if you sense the difference in how you think, feel emotionally and feel in your body. Especially notice your center of gravity shift as you stand or walk across the room.

 A balanced body is a balanced mind.
